Stemmler Winery

Carneros Chardonnay 2013
Stemmler Chardonnay is sourced from our Estate vineyard and neighboring vineyards in the cool, foggy Carneros area just north of San Pablo Bay. A mix of heritage and Dijon clones fermented in a combination stainless steel and oak, its brightness and moderate alcohol level makes it an ideal pairing with a wide range of cuisines.

Carneros Pinot Noir 2012
The Stemmler Carneros Estate Grown Pinot Noir is sourced entirely from our 45-acre vineyard of 20-year-old vines planted in nine contiguous blocks to six different clones. Our Carneros Estate Pinot Noir truly represents the diversity of clones and sites within our vineyard, with the blend composed of all nine distinct blocks within the vineyard. The result is layered and complex, evocative of our windswept, fog-covered vineyards.

Russian River Winside Vineyard 2012
Stemmler wines are handcrafted, small lot Estate grown wines. The Winside Vineyard, formerly known as Nugent Vineyard, was planted in 1997 under our guidance and vineyard management, and was recently acquired in full, making it our second Estate Vineyard. Eleven acres are planted to a mix of Dijon 115 and 667, with 5 acres of Pommard coming into production in 2011.

Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2012
The inaugural release of the Stemmler Anderson Valley Pinot Noir is a beauty. Sourced from the Angel Camp vineyard in the North (“Deep”) End of the Anderson Valley, the 2012 growing season offered perfect conditions for ripening Pinot Noir in this cool AVA. We get a little bit of fruit from nine different blocks on this vineyard, planted to different clones and rootstocks. The resulting wine shows remarkable complexity, and displays the exquisite balance characteristic of the Anderson Valley.
