Maisons Marques & Domaines USA Inc. was founded in 1987 as the U.S. sales and marketing arm for Champagne Louis Roederer and its new California winery, Roederer Estate. The key objectives were to manage the complex U.S. distribution system in order to ensure the delivery of perfect quality products to the consumers as well as to build each individual brand’s image.
Today, the company has grown into a well-respected marketer of family-owned, prestigious producers. From France to Portugal, Italy to Spain, and California to South Africa; Maisons Marques & Domaines represents some of the most highly esteemed properties in the world.
Several of the wineries represented by Maisons Marques & Domaines (MMD USA) are owned by the House of Louis Roederer, including Roederer Estate, Scharffenberger Cellars, Domaine Anderson, Ramos-Pinto, Delas Frères, Domaines Ott, and the Bordeaux properties of Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Château de Pez, and Château Haut-Beauséjour. Others, such as a selection of renowned Châteaux from Etablissements Jean- Pierre Moueix, the wines of Dominus Estate in Napa Valley, Baron de Ladoucette, Domaines Schlumberger, Querciabella, Pio Cesare, Podernuovo a Palazzone and Castiglion del Bosco of Italy, Marqués de Murrieta of Spain, Meerlust and Distell wines of South Africa and Maisons Marques & Domaines' own proprietary Carpe Diem wines from the Anderson and Napa Valleys, are represented in the U.S. on an exclusive basis. In addition, MMD USA has a leading US representation of world-renowned Bordeaux châteaux Pétrus and Hosanna as well as exclusive distribution rights for Château Certan de May.
In spite of its growth, Maisons Marques & Domaines has retained the spirit of a small, hands-on company with a very dedicated team. It enjoys long-lasting, trustful and mutually rewarding alliances with key distributors in each U.S. market, based on personal commitment and entrepreneurship.
